Since our last update, we have made significant progress in our search!

In July, the Ministry Information Form (MIF) was completed, approved and submitted to the PCUSA for placement on their website.  The MIF is a very detailed job description with our requirements for the Senior Pastor position.  The PCUSA utilizes a matching system with suitable candidates that they have in their records.

Within days of posting our MIF, we began receiving several Personal Information Forms (PIF) from candidates. We are excited to announce that we have received over 120 PIFs.

Where do we stand now?  Honestly, it was extremely challenging to review, evaluate and analyze suitable candidates.  To date the PNC has completed its 30th meeting! All in all, the PNC team is enthusiastic with the progress that has been made and we are convinced that the Holy Spirit is guiding us.

We are especially pleased with the following:
  • The response of having 120+ candidates.  This is truly a blessing! We are motivated by the comments made by the candidates we have been in contact with.  These candidates are attracted to our rich heritage of mission, stewardship, and community outreach activities.
  • The interest shown by the congregation is incredibly gratifying. We continue to welcome all your ideas, suggestions and recommendations.
  • The potential growth of our county and community, which we believe will reflect in potential growth of our church.

Finally, we are unable to share information relating to our candidates. The main reason is to protect the confidentiality of their personal searches.

We are extremely grateful for your support of our work.  Please continue to pray for our team, pray for the candidates, and pray for the individual God has chosen to lead us into the future.

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!
